Nikon D7500 is a DX-format DSLR offering a versatile feature-set to appeal to photographers and videographers alike. Based on a 20.9MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 5 image processor, this multimedia maven avails an 8 fps continuous shooting rate for up to 100 consecutive JPEGS, a native sensitivity range to ISO 51,200 that can be expanded up to ISO 1,640,000, and 4K UHD video and time-lapse recording capabilities. This physical design is also fully weather-sealed to permit working in harsh environmental conditions. In addition to the pentaprism optical viewfinder, a rear 3.2″ 922k-dot touchscreen is also featured and has a tilting design to benefit working from high and low shooting angles. Additionally, SnapBridge Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permit wireless transferring of photos and movies and remote control over the camera from linked mobile devices.4K UHD movie image format is an area that provides a 1.5x increase in the effective focal length of the lens in use and is reserved for 4K 3840 x 2160 recording. As with still shooting, the wide range of sensitivities is available for recording in low- and bright-light conditions, ranging from expanded ISO 100-1640000, and sensitivity values are manually adjustable via the dedicated movie-shooting menu. A large 3.2″ 922k-dot touchscreen is available for intuitive live view shooting and playback control, and it features a tilting design to benefit working from high and low shooting angles. Shutter unit has been tested for up to 150,000 cycles for long-lasting use, and an integrated shutter monitor automatically calculates the duration between front and rear curtain movements with each exposure to automatically correct for any variances.

Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM is a Contemporary-series lens, also characterized by its compact, lightweight profile. The bright f/2.8-4 maximum aperture range pairs with the wide-angle to short-telephoto zoom range to create an ideal trip and everyday lens. The optical design uses a series of low dispersion and aspherical elements to control color fringing and distortion in order to realize high clarity and sharpness. Additionally, the 17-70mm f/2.8-4 features a rounded seven-blade diaphragm for smooth bokeh quality and it is compatible with the optional USB Dock for fine-tuning focusing characteristics and updating its firmware. Wide-angle to short-telephoto zoom is designed for DX-format Nikon F-mount cameras and provides a 25.5-105mm equivalent focal length range. One Special Low Dispersion (SLD) and two F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements are featured in the optical design and help to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and color accuracy. A Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions. Integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), along with a rear focus system, realizes quick and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time. Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.

1 review for NIKON D7500 Body + SIGMA 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM Lens kit

  1. Michael Tremblay

Best combo in market !!! The lens is not overly heavy, but it handles very well. The zoom and focus rings are both very smooth. The zoom is well-controlled. Focus breathing is non-existent. The switches for autofocus and stabilization are solid and give reassuring clicks when moved. Better than NIKKOR prime lenses!
