Shooting videos is something that basically no one can avoid right now. In all facets of life, shooting videos has some part to play. Currently, in 2019, the best 4k cameras will do justice to all of the videography aspects for all of the interested video shooters.
Video cameras have been a thing since quite a while. But commercially speaking, the 1970s and the 1980s saw the rise of the sale of video cameras in huge numbers. Along with that, people were also interested in recording their television screens for capturing video content.

4K Cameras – The Craft of Increased Detail
There are quite a few popular resolutions in which videos are being shot often. These resolutions are chosen by people depending on the types of video that they are willing to shoot. If there is a video that needs to be shared to people nearby in a matter of seconds, then a relatively lesser resolution video is shot.
If the clarity and detail of the video that dictates its quality are chosen as the first priority, then 4k videos are the way to go. The term 4k comes from 4000 which is denoted by the resolutions of the screen. 4k video is also regarded as 2160p and here is the reason why.
A 4k video consists of 3840 * 2160 pixels where 3840 is the number of pixels on the long side and 2160 is the number of pixels on the height side. The term 4k came from the fact that the number 3840 is approximately closer to the number 4000.
The are other definitions of videos as well. These definitions are dictated by how many pixels are used in either of the resolutions. The different definitions of videos are as follows:
- SD or Standard Definition (480p)
- HD or High Definition (720p)
- Full HD or Full High Definition (1080p)
- Ultra HD or Ultra High Definition or 4K (2160p)
Now, depending on the specification of a given camera, it can record a video. Not all cameras are able to record 4k videos effectively. Based on the sensors and other characteristics, the said video is recorded by any arbitrary camera.
Now, 60 FPS is desired by everyone. 60FPS or Frames per Second is a measure where one second of video footage is equivalent to 60 images playing one after the other in a matter of a single second.
There are different types of framerates that cameras record in. The most used framerates in cameras for video recording are as follows:
- 15FPS
- 24FPS
- 25FPS
- 30FPS
- 60FPS etc.
The more the framerate, the better quality the video. There is a considerable number of frames of a video that flash in front of your eyes in a higher quality video. Also, the human eye can detect up to 60 Frames per Second only.
