The 16mm f/1.4 DC DN is part of Sigma‘s Contemporary series of lenses and is designed for use with Canon EF-M-mount mirrorless cameras. The optical design makes use of several low dispersion and aspherical elements, which control color fringing and various aberrations in order to provide high sharpness and clarity throughout the aperture range. Benefitting the optical assets, this lens also sports a stepping AF motor for quick, quiet, and smooth focusing performance that suits both still photography as well as video applications. The wide-angle prime is designed for APS-C-format Canon EF-M-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 25.6mm equivalent focal length. Two aspherical elements are used to limit distortion and spherical aberrations and also contribute to greater overall sharpness and accurate rendering. A stepping AF motor benefits both photographers and videographers with its fast, precise, and near-silent performance.
The Canon EF-mount 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM from Sigma is a unique wide-angle prime designed to produce high-resolution, well-corrected imagery. As part of the Art line of lenses, this lens has a focus on image quality and rendering and utilizes both FLD and SLD glass elements to control chromatic aberrations and color fringing for notable clarity. Additionally, a Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast when working in strong lighting. Complementing the optical performance is an equally adept Hyper Sonic Motor, which provides fast, smooth, and near-silent autofocus performance. The lens barrel is constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite material, which supports working in a wide variety of temperatures and conditions, and the lens mount is constructed from brass for long-term durability and mounting accuracy. The prime wide-angle lens is designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLRs, however, it can also be used on APS-C models where it will provide a 22.4mm equivalent focal length. Four aspherical elements, including one large, 80mm-diameter precision-molded glass aspherical element, help to minimize distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time. Additionally, rubber sealing is incorporated in the mount design to render it dust- and splash-resistant.
The Sigma 12-24mm F4 DG HSM Art (Nikon) Telephoto zoom lenses with excellent cost performance and optimized for use with digital SLR cameras. Capable of macro photography, this lens has a 1:2 maximum close-up magnification at the 300mm focal length. It’s the ideal high-performance lens for portraits, sports photography, nature photography, and other types of photography that frequently use the telephoto range. It also has a switch for changeover to macro photography at focal lengths between 200mm and 300mm with a maximum close-up magnification from 1:2.9 to 1:2. SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass in this lens provides excellent correction of chromatic aberration.
